Compliance as a precondition, not an afterthought
Avesta operates under AWG, DSGVO, and EU sanctions compliance. These are not disclaimers appended to a finished product. They determine which engagements we accept, how information is gathered and stored, and what may appear in a deliverable.
A Compliance Officer reviews and signs off every output before it leaves the organisation. No publication, briefing or dataset is released without documented clearance confirming that no source-identifying information is present.
AWG, DSGVO, and EU sanctions compliance
What is screened, and when
Four checks, each at a fixed point in the process rather than at the end.
AWG
German export control law. Screened before an engagement is accepted, because it determines whether the engagement may exist at all, not how it is carried out.
DSGVO
Data protection. Applied to collection and storage from the first record onward. Personal data that is not needed for the assessment is not retained.
EU
The EU sanctions regime. Screened against the commissioning institution, the subject matter and any intermediary before work begins.
SIGN-OFF
Compliance Officer review of the finished output. Nothing leaves the organisation without documented clearance that no source-identifying information is present.
